Airswift is seeking an Electrical Technician to join major Oil & Gas operator on their FPSO project. The role is of 28/28 offshore rotation.
Job Description
- Provide high quality, consistent and competent electrical design engineer services according to project/company requirements, standards and procedures
- Support the overall implementation of company goals and schedules. To ensure that all work is carried out in a safe manner and does not adversely affect personnel, materials or the environment
- Safely and consistently perform all necessary disciplinary obligations in accordance with project requirements, procedures and specifications.
- Installation, insulation, repair and related building inspections of electrical equipment in non-hazardous and hazardous areas.
- Inspection and completion of required certifications/documentation, including redlines on drawings to reflect “completed” status.
- Completion of inspection of electrical installations/equipment and associated certification of acceptable scope of work by non-COMPEX electricians in hazardous areas. Read, understand and implement all applicable company/project policies, work practices and procedures and always ensure that all work associated with the role of Electrical Engineer is performed safely and to a high standard.
- Complete the full scope of work according to the applicable work package/work card instructions, associated procedures and drawings/sketch. Support other industries/specialties as needed or be part of an integrated multidisciplinary team.
- Applied Work Permits (PTW) will be increased to complete the scope of work in a controlled and safe manner.
- Conduct an appropriate Risk Assessment (RA) to complete the scope of work in a safe and controlled manner.
The experience shall include
- Proven experience in electrical apprenticeship/training and recent relative experience in all aspects of electrical installation, insulation, repair and testing related to construction electrical work in hazardous and non-hazardous areas.
recognized electrical training - Technical qualifications with relevant electrical engineering background – City and Guild, or equivalent
- BOSIET / Licensed Marine Medicine
- COMPEX or Hazardous Location Approved Equipment (HLD course, mandatory for this role) Permit Vision
- Ability to demonstrate a thorough understanding of the risks involved in working in hazardous areas.
- Offshore experience as an industrial electrical engineer
- They have a good understanding of safe work practices and are able to demonstrate their commitment to safe work at all times.
