DHL are hiring a Buiness Development Specialist

New Business Acquisition 

  • Find and seize new business prospects in a proactive manner, concentrating on heavier-weight shipments within your nation.
  • Utilize your understanding of the customer, their business, and the freight forwarding environment in close collaboration with the Core and/or Retail Sales Teams to secure greater weight shipments.
  • Through focused prospecting, networking, and strategic territory planning, create a robust pipeline.
  • To provide tailored DHL Express solutions that balance network capability, transit time, cost, and reliability, conduct a thorough analysis of customer demands.
  • Make sure DHL Express grows profitably and sustainably by negotiating and securing new business opportunities.
  • Work together with internal stakeholders to guarantee a seamless customer onboarding process and account management transfer to Core Sales.
  • In order to respond to business possibilities for the Group, collaborate proactively with the other DHL Group business divisions.

Market Development & Strategy

  • To identify and prioritize target industries (such as industrial, automotive, technology, manufacturing, and healthcare) as well as any other new ones, conduct research and assess market trends, customer sectors, and competition activity.
  • Make DHL Express the go-to supplier for heavier-weight express shipments by utilizing its extensive worldwide network, product line, and digital technologies.
  • To encourage service innovation and competition, give the product, pricing, and marketing teams market feedback.

Customer Relationship Management

  • Utilize a current professional network to open up business prospects for DHL Express.
  • Establish solid, trustworthy connections with decision-makers at possible client companies.
  • Maintain client satisfaction throughout the onboarding process by ensuring a seamless transition from new business acquisition to account management.
  • Maintain DHL’s high standards for customer service and excellence.

Sales Performance & Reporting

  • Achieve or exceed individual new business revenue and profit targets.
  • Maintain accurate records of all customer interactions, opportunities, and pipeline data in the CRM system (COMET/ STELLAR).
  • Deliver timely reporting and sales forecasts to management.

Job Requirements

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sales, Logistics, Supply Chain, or a related field.

Experience

  • 3–5 years of proven success in B2B sales, preferably within express logistics, air freight, or transport sectors.
  • Demonstrated ability to win and develop new accounts with complex logistics requirements.
  • Experience selling heavier-weight or time-definite services is highly desirable.

Knowledge

  • Strong understanding of international express logistics, cross-border trade, and customs processes.
  • Familiarity with DHL Express products and value propositions (TDI, TDD, etc.) advantageous
