About the role

The Finance and Administration Assistant will contribute to the effectiveness of PINGS by providing efficient financial and administrative support services to the Zonal Coordination team in line with NI’s policies and procedures.

Responsibilities 

  • helping to create the budget and making sure that expenditures stay within authorized bounds.
  • Overseeing office supply and equipment procurement procedures.
  • paying for authorized operations in a timely and accurate manner.
  • keeping track of and balancing petty cash records.
  • requesting cash advances and creating cash flow projections.
  • producing monthly financial reports that are appropriately coded and allocated.
  • assisting in the creation of administrative agreements and managing service providers.
  • keeping track of office supplies and reporting any losses or damages.
  • helping with expense reports and travel planning.
  • setting up workshops and meetings.
  • gathering activity sheets and turning them in.
  • delivering general administrative office services.
  • carrying out any additional relevant tasks as delegated.
  • any additional relevant tasks that are asked for.

About You

You have

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or a related field from a recognized university, or have an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • At least 3 years of experience in accounting and/or finance At least 5 years of experience in supervising Child Health, Nutrition programs.
  • At least as 3 years of experience in project office administration.
  • Proficiency in the Microsoft suite, particularly Excel, is essential.
  • Experience working with databases would be considered a valuable asset.
  • Fluent written and spoken English and French is essential.
