PATH recrute un Chargée de Marketing et Communication

PATH is recruiting Director of Marketing and Communications – Digital Square – Remote. PATH is a global nonprofit organization dedicated to achieving health equity. With more than 40 years of experience building multidisciplinary partnerships and expertise in science, economics, technology, advocacy and dozens of other disciplines, PATH develops and scales innovative solutions for the world’s most pressing health challenges. 

The Africa region leverages its internal and global expertise to drive transformational and innovative activities that reflect the African context. By leveraging our existing talent in the region and collaborating with our global teams, we are delivering innovation at scale, working alongside Ministries of Health to reduce health disparities. 

With potential for expansion, the division is currently active in 15 countries across four hubs: South, West, Central and East Africa. The Director of Marketing and Communications will support the Digital Square project globally to design, create and deliver marketing and communications materials. He/she is familiar with many practices, concepts and processes in the field.

Responsibilities

Marketing and Communications

  • Plan, research, write, edit, proofread, produce and distribute various communications materials across multiple media (e.g. print, digital), to promote the activities of Digital Square in French and English. 
  • Create creative, engaging and informative content with the aim of retaining existing audiences and attracting new ones. 
  • Develop and execute annual marketing plans to strengthen the Digital Square brand, targeting French and English speaking audiences. Support the development and implementation of an integrated communications strategy. 
  • Develop informational content such as brochures, newsletters, blogs, success stories, thought leadership, fact sheets and other materials to promote Digital’s impact, operations and brand Square to a variety of audiences including sponsors, media, and more. 
  • Supports graphics and layout used in brochures and newsletters to ensure the quality of the final product. Provide marketing and communications support for events by preparing materials. 
  • Presentations, talking points, etc. 
  • Review your brand guidelines. Work with technical teams to identify success stories, synthesize information and translate into compelling visual and narrative communications materials for key external audiences, including donors .

Media Relations


  • Develop and execute media engagement plans for English and French media. 
  • Position Digital Square in the media space through interviews and other press releases. 
  • Develop editorials, press releases and other communications materials for media agencies. 
  • Work with media editors to ensure publication of stories, press releases and articles. 
  • Develop key messages for media in French and English. 
  • Develop and execute media campaign strategies for French and UK audiences. 
  • Create and maintain a database of media contacts and maintain good relationships with key journalists in French and English speaking countries. 
  • Develop and maintain relationships with the media and identify opportunities to reach key audiences
  • Required Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications or public relations Minimum 6 years of experience working in communications in public health, international development or a related field. 
  • Experience providing similar services to an international organization. 
  • Advanced oral and written communication skills in French and English. 
  • Experience working with a diverse workforce across different time zones. 
  • Ability to perform multiple tasks effectively with strong organizational and personal skills. 
  • Demonstrated experience in developing engaging and relevant public health communications content. 
  • Flexible and adaptable to changing priorities. 
  • Demonstrated success in developing and implementing marketing and communications strategies as well as deploying various communication channels to key audiences including sponsors, media and planners policy. 
  • Knowledge of marketing concepts Deep understanding of the news cycle, deadlines, news values and editorial process, as well as the use of social media as an effective tool. 
  • Negotiation and persuasion skills
