Position overview
Tostan’s resource development efforts are at a pivotal time, making it a particularly exciting time to join the team. As Tostan continues to launch and develop his new 2030 Strategy, there is significant opportunity to build relationships with new funding partners and strengthen connections with existing supporters. The Resource Development Team Leader will be responsible for supporting the work of Tostan’s Resource Development Team in researching, developing, and maintaining funding partnerships with potential institutional and philanthropic partners. This role involves collaborating internally with several different teams, including key sub-teams of the Partnerships team (Communications, Influence, and Resource Development), among others.
Roles and responsibilities
Under supervision of the Head of Institutional Giving, the RDT will be responsible of :
Support the management of a balanced portfolio of funding
- Conduct systematic online research on potential new partners to identify a good fit in terms of themes, operations, and values.
- Research and analyze relevant global industry trends, as well as specific strategic partner priorities and interests.
- Leads account management for assigned accounts from recruitment stage (initial contact) through renewals.
- Develop high quality and timely proposals and reports in English and French, collaborating with relevant teams (programs, national coordinators, finance, grants management (GPS), etc.).
External relationship management
- Foster robust relationships with strategic and long-time period institutional prospects;
- Support the onboarding of latest investment partnerships together with accomplishing strong due diligence;
- Engage with and constitute in Tostan`s networks and stakeholder organizations as necessary.
Internal coordination
- Support the coordination throughout the Resource Development Team (RDT) together with with the Institutional Partnerships crew and the
- Philanthropy crew to make certain obvious and aligned running practices e.g. RDT crew normal and unique meetings (generally bi-monthly, monthly, quarterly, and annual retreats), unique discussions of particular companions and capacity companions;

Education
Bachelor’s Degree required;
Liberal arts or similar advanced degree in relevant discipline preferred.
Language skills:
- Fluency in French (oral and written) is required;
- Fluency in English (oral and written) is required (C2 level).
Knowledge and Experience
- 3-five years in commercial enterprise improvement with a success song report in company and institutional fundraising, suggestion writing, furnish writing, or communications;
