Purpose of Activity/Assignment:

Many studies are conducted by government agencies with UNICEF support and technical assistance. If countries follow UNICEF’s protocols and recommendations and use the tools provided, the investigation process will go smoothly. However, in many countries, providing research tools alone is not enough without additional support from experienced staff who provide technical support to our research execution partners.

UNICEF will continue to strengthen its technical assistance mechanisms for investigations at the regional level to ensure that country offices receive the necessary level of technical assistance at critical stages of investigations and can better support implementing partners.

Planning, preparation and fieldwork for new studies such as the BMZ Endline/Baseline Survey (MICS) have been initiated in the West and Central Africa (WCA) region. Therefore, UNICEF WCARO employs experienced data processing consultants to provide the necessary technical support to country offices and their partners in a timely manner during critical research phases.

Under the overall supervision of UNICEF Regional Surveillance Experts (MICS and other studies) from UNICEF WCARO Program and Surveillance Research, data processing advisors support data processing for various studies conducted in the West and Central Africa regions. Scope of Work:

Under the overall supervision of the UNICEF Regional Monitoring Specialist (MICS and Other Surveys), the Data Processing Consultant will be responsible to:
