Responsibilities
- Oversee shift operations, plan, direct, and schedule operator labor, and organize resources and tasks to fulfill deadlines and production goals.
- In order to promote a cooperative and secure work environment, lead operational shift teams and offer team members assistance, direction, and training.
- Oversee all employee actions.
- Make certain that every team member is given the necessary training on safety protocols, equipment usage, performance expectations, disciplinary actions, and other company and workplace policies, procedures, and practices.
- To improve effectiveness and quality, track operational performance and make necessary adjustments.
- Oversee and guarantee that all work is done in accordance with company policies, procedures, and guidelines as well as health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Control the supply of the equipment, components, and materials needed for upkeep and operational duties.
- Effective communication with internal and external stakeholders is essential for organizing tasks, resolving problems, and enhancing procedures over time.
Education & experience
- Engineering (B.Eng) or Technology (B.Tech) degrees in electrical, mechanical, or electromechanical fields, or Higher
- National Diploma (HND)
- Five years of relevant experience operating power plants
- Working knowledge of any Wartsila engines
- proficiency in both French and English.
