We are looking for a capable resource to coordinate ranging from simple activities to more complex plans. This role will provide onsite/ on-call assistance to end-users within the organization’s desktop computing environment in a timely and accurate fashion to ensure optimal service delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Give desktops, laptops, printers, and mobile devices first- and second-level support.
- Address issues and service requests over the phone, in person, or through a ticketing system.
- Maintain, install, and update software programs and operating systems (Windows, macOS, and Linux).
- Diagnose and fix peripheral (monitors, keyboards, docking stations, etc.) and hardware problems.
- Configure and set up workstations for new hires, including permissions and user accounts.
- Ensure that IT equipment is accurately documented and keep an asset inventory.
- Help with staff onboarding and offboarding from a technical standpoint.
- Help distant users who are experiencing connectivity, VPN, or remote desktop problems.
- Work together with other IT teams on work pertaining to projects or escalated concerns.
- Assist with antivirus, patching, and data protection policies and adhere to security regulations.
Qualifications Required:
- A bachelor’s degree in information technology, computer science, or a similar discipline (or comparable experience).
- One or more years of experience working as an IT technician, help desk, or desktop support representative.
- strong familiarity with Office 365, Windows OS, and fundamental networking ideas.
- knowledge of ticketing platforms such as Zendesk, JIRA, or ServiceNow.
- outstanding interpersonal and communication abilities.
- strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
Preferred:
- Experience with macOS or Linux environments.
- IT certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or Microsoft Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator.
- Experience with Active Directory, Group Policy, and remote management tools (e.g., SCCM, Intune, or JAMF).
Working Conditions:
- On-site support may be required.
- Occasional lifting of equipment (up to 25 lbs).
- Flexible schedule or after-hours support may be needed during maintenance windows or emergencies.
