Overall Job Purpose
- Support of contract activities as support for contract management within MODEC SENEGAL: Our portfolio of customer and supplier contracts ranges from simple contracts to large and complex contracts.
- Managing the entire contract cycle including drafting, reviewing, signing, executing and terminating the contract and its effects. Managing each stage of contract formation with the organization’s and/or group’s stakeholders.
- Interacting with contractors: Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills in meetings, letters, and emails. Sensitive to the profitability of contract projects and their economic, operational and legal optimization.
General Tasks
Contract With The Client:
- Familiarize yourself with the contract you have entered into with the customer and the procedures, services and all measures required by MOSEN. Maintains liaison with relevant departments to ensure the company fully and timely fulfills its contractual obligations to customers.
- In particular, together with other team members, understand and manage all customer documentation and applicable payment procedures and terms.
- Work closely with offshore production teams to meet contractual requirements on a daily basis. Offered monthly and annually.
- Contract with customer:
- We propose contractual solutions taking into account best practices in the oil and gas sector.
- Prepare relevant documents (NDAs, LOIs, MOUs, final agreements, amendments, etc.).
- Assist teams in affected regions to identify risks associated with contracts and suggest mechanisms to better limit impact during the implementation phase
- Collaborate with supply chain teams on specification development and contract analysis.
- Manage consistency across contract documents to ensure economic and operational balance.
- If necessary, prepare contract annexes and properly follow up on contract execution and its development.
- With the assistance of our legal team, we ensure that procurement procedures comply with local content laws, customer contracts, and other laws applicable to those contracts.
Core Responsibilities
- Participates in the management of the company’s activities in contractual aspects (both relationships with customers, partners and subcontractors) and interpretation needs of contract provisions.
- Ensure obligations are contractually regulated (contracts, modification tender processes, agreements with service providers, archiving and monitoring of contract terms).
- Manage and monitor contract management (milestones, deliverables, receipts, payments, etc.) with customers and subcontractors and address contract deviations (notifications, communications, analysis, changes). if there is a risk that the services will not comply with contractual requirements, if profitability changes (extra-contractual additional costs related to various events: additional customer requests, subcontractor risks, planning risks, external risks); Alert supply chain department. ,Such).
- Manage events that impact the project from a contractual perspective. Non-compliance with contractual obligations.

- Prepare documentary elements to support claims, pretrial, and even litigation.
- Participates in internal or external meetings as necessary to prepare for negotiations or decide on changes to current contracts. Implementation of contract completion/renewal procedures

Qualifications & Experiences
Educational Qualification
- Training at Bac +5 level
- Master’s degree in the fields of law, contract management, commerce, procurement economics, finance, etc.
Relevant Experience
At least 5 years of work experience and a minimum of three (03) years within contract management are required.
