About the role
The Zone Coordinator is responsible for the timely and effective implementation of her PINGS activities on site in line with project objectives. Work closely with implementation partners in the zone of responsibility and local government agencies to ensure that annual, quarterly, and monthly work plans are developed, implemented, and monitored to ensure resources are available to achieve expected project outcomes. In this role you will be:
Program Development & Planning
- Provide regular updates on gender, nutrition, and sexual and reproductive health in the project area.
- Integrate changes into the project plan based on evolving conditions.
- Guide and guide project staff and government agencies in developing work plans and budgets.
- Coordinate planning meetings and ensure synergy with implementation partners.
- Convert recommendations from reviews and assessments into action plans. Integrate PINGS project plans with regional and regional development plans.
Program Implementation and Management:
- Work with implementation partners to ensure compliance with project approaches and guidelines.
- Integrate monthly and quarterly reports for analysis and recommendations.
- Visit the site to provide support and technical guidance.
- Monitor data collection and reporting for project monitoring.
- Ensure planned activities are carried out on time and successfully.
- Contribute to the documentation of lessons learned.
- Provides local contributions in donor reports. Keep your project-related documentation up to date.
Financial Management:
- Develop quarterly cash flow projections.
- Ensure project activities align with the approved budget.
External Relations:
- Build and strengthen relationships with key stakeholders and implementing partners.
- Represent NI at regional and zonal meetings and task forces/working groups.
- Maintain positive communication with government agencies and other stakeholders.
Office Management:
- Manage the budget for office operations.
- Ensure the project office meets safety, security, and hygiene standards.
About You
- At least a master’s degree in health or nutrition.
- At least 5 years of relevant experience, of which 3 of his years have been in management, gender and related sexual and reproductive health issues.
- Work experience in central government or other institutions is required
- A practical understanding of regulatory decision-making in Senegal.
- Attention to detail, excellent research and analytical skills
- Excellent written, verbal and communication skills
- Team player, strategic thinking, initiative, excellent communication skills, experienced networker
- Proven organizational skills and excellent time management skills
- Fluent in French and fluent in English. Fluent knowledge of the Japanese language is an advantage
