PATH is currently recruiting a Procurement Officer for the country program office to support the project team on their procurement. The position will be based in Dakar.
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- We support the procurement of a wide range of products, products, and services.
- Oversee project procurement and ensure compliance with PATH guidelines.
- Take over all procurement functions including: B.
- Creating requests for quotation and managing quotation evaluations.
- Coordinate the supplier selection process.
- Preparation of documentation justifying procurement (e.g. bid analysis, selection and negotiation notes).
- Fulfill orders from selected suppliers.
- Manage supplier relationships, contacts, and prequalification lists.
- Monitor all orders, contact suppliers and receive invoices.
- Coordinate with accounting team to ensure invoices are paid.
- Maintains current procurement files (paper and electronic backups) in accordance with project and PATH policies and procedures.
- Work closely with project teams to develop annual procurement plans.
- You will be responsible for creating monthly procurement reports.
- Manage all other procurement-related tasks related to your role.
- Review and update your local sourcing policy to include specifications for all countries.
- Work closely with Finance and Operations Managers to complete all checkpoints.
- Register invoices and work closely with SPA to ensure good receipt.
- Collaborate with IAS and global procurement teams
- Analysis of accounts payable, sales tax and other liability accounts
- Assist with questions to the finance team.
- Perform all other Finance and Operations Manager requests.
Core competencies/required skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Economics
- He has over 4 years of experience in procurement, supply chain, or logistics.
- Experience with an international NGO is a plus.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in French. Ability to communicate professionally in English.
- You can use up to 25% for domestic and international travel.
- You need a work permit to work in Senegal.
