Background and purpose of the assignment
In West Africa, WFP, through its Regional Office (RBD), works with local governments, the humanitarian community, other UN agencies, international financial institutions, academia, cooperation partners, and civil society organizations to find the most effective way to address food insecurity. Purpose of the assignment
Under the direct supervision of the Regional Head of Operational Information Management, the OIM Consultant will support the Regional Bureau for Western Africa Annual Country Report (ACR) exercise, contribute to the overall reporting products and provide support as required. This includes close coordination within the program and other technical departments at RBD level, CO support and follow-up, ensuring quality control and ensuring that all related projects are properly reported online for donors. , including collaboration with headquarters technical experts to make it available for in-house use. Accountabilities / responsabilities
- Collaborate with regional ACR task forces to support country offices during the annual reporting period.
- This includes communicating all processes and related documentation with CO ACR personnel.
- Addresses specific requirements of various ACR sections. Provide guidance, suggestions, and technical assistance for questions regarding the draft ACR and data requirements.
- Provides specific guidance to country offices in collaboration with Headquarters Technical Department, RB, and his ACR team as needed to ensure the quality of ACR and other reporting products. and support reporting officer training.
- Coordinate reviews with the RB technical team, support the RB/CO, and work with reviewers from both the CO and RB technical units to ensure that the ACR calendar is strictly adhered to.
- Supporting the development of regional insights and regional booklets in consultation with various stakeholders.
- Provide remote and/or on-site analytical and technical support to country offices to streamline reporting and analytical tasks. All other reporting obligations as requested and/or assigned.

Education
You have
Advanced university degree (Master’s degree equivalent, BAC+4/5), recognized by https://www.whed.net/home.php in political science, sociology, economics, business management, operations management, development studies, and international development. or other relevant field, OR a first university degree (Bachelor’s degree equivalent, BAC +3) in the same disciplines with additional years of experience.
Experience
You have:
At least three (3) years of progressively responsible professional post graduate experience working in in data analysis, monitoring and reporting. Minimum one years’ experience coordinating and drafting reporting products, preferably ACR, at CO/Regional level.
Desirable experiences
Excellent understanding of development and humanitarian sectors, strong portfolio of contribution to successful partnership initiatives, and engagement with the public and private sector.
Languages:
Fluency (level C in reading, writing and speaking) in English and intermediate French (level B).
