- Blue Ventures is a marine conservation organization that puts people first. We help coastal fishermen in rural and remote communities rebuild fisheries, restore ocean life, and build sustainable pathways to prosperity. Our work began twenty years ago in remote coastal communities in Madagascar and is growing globally. In dozens of countries, we partner with traditional fishers and community organizations to design, expand, strengthen and support community-level fisheries management and conservation. - We are recruiting an experienced leader, strategist and change agent to lead Blue Ventures’ exciting new program in West Africa. This key leadership position allows Blue Ventures to take advantage of its recent regional entry and create impact at scale in coastal and ocean communities across the West Africa region. As the Regional Director, you will be responsible for leading, guiding and coaching a dynamic, multidisciplinary team focused on establishing and maintaining partnerships with community, government government and other industry leaders – today in Senegal, Gambia and Guinea Bissau. , and Cabo Verde, with strong aspirations to expand throughout the region in the next 2-3 years.

- As a key representative of Blue Ventures’ work in West Africa, you will represent the engagement of senior government officials, donors, the private sector and civil society . You will proactively pursue and manage these relationships to advance Blue Ventures’ mission, including fundraising, public speaking, and networking at all levels, from local communities to ministries government and international forums.
- We are looking for a strategic individual who is highly motivated and resourceful in managing a diverse and multicultural team to deliver a broad portfolio of conservation interventions.
