Title: Responsive Campaigner

Reporting to: Head of Project Development & Planning
Location: One of Greenpeace Africa Operational Office ( South Africa, Cameroon, Senegal, Kenya) is preferred but flexible to other locations within Africa, as GPAF implements a hybrid work location model with work-from-home being the main base of our work location
Purpose of the Role
The Campaigner will lead the identification, strategic planning and execution of responsive campaigns within GPAF, employing an integrated approach to drive fundraising and engage audiences in building counter-power. This role will design data-driven, evidence-based campaigns in collaboration with various teams to ensure effective delivery of responsive work. The Campaigner will foster internal alignment on responsive initiatives, creating a system to prioritize emerging issues for GPAF’s responsiveness. The role will entail working closely with program, volunteer, engagement, fundraising and communication staff.
Main duties
Strategic planning
- Coordinate and supervise all preparations for responsive marketing campaign sports as required.
- Represent Greenpeace Africa at meetings, coordination bodies, media, stakeholders, and neighborhood groups while required.
- Collaborate with the Communications group to interact goal audiences and make certain media interventions align with marketing campaign objectives.
- Prepare or assign the education of specific briefings and updates to tell staff, media, and stakeholders approximately marketing campaign issues, progress, and outcomes.
- Work with the Fundraising group to broaden approaches to maximise the marketing campaign`s fundraising potential.
- Oversee task tracking and evaluation, imparting reviews to the Head of Project Development, Senior Portfolio Managers, and campaigners from different workplaces as needed.
- Work with the Research group to collect statistics and insights for shaping responses.
- Ensure adherence to Greenpeace Africa safety tips and document any safety incidents according with the Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
Networking and Responsiveness
- Adopt a Pan-African angle in venture transport via way of means of leveraging responsive possibilities to strengthen marketing campaign and venture goals throughout the continent.
- Enhance responsiveness and agility in the venture crew to strengthen marketing campaign desires.
- Utilize responsive possibilities aligned with marketing campaign desires to power impact.
- Foster relationships with outside stakeholders, which include civil society, communities, and authorities, to strengthen the marketing campaign.
- Establish and keep lively networks with our international network, Greenpeace International (GPI) to beautify the marketing campaign`s impact.
- Ensure the improvement of lively networks and sturdy alliances with key strategic stakeholders externally.
- Ensure precise applicable marketing campaign initiatives are accurately budgeted for.
- Oversee the marketing campaign finances and make sure its powerful and well timed utilization.
Qualifications and Experience
- Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences, Policy, Development, Biodiversity, or related field
- 5 years experience in any of these areas: advocacy, awareness-raising, public education, campaign management and coordination.
- Experience working in a multicultural team.
- A strong Pan-African Mindset.
- Familiarity with the development of project proposals and the project management cycle.
- Skilled in negotiating, building consensus, bringing together diverse stakeholders, and facilitating dialogue to achieve mutual outcomes.
- Knowledge and/or experience in campaigning, creative advocacy content, execution of strategies, lobbying, and canvassing projects.
